Don’t Forget Your Umbrella

This morning I saw the weather forecast saying it might rain in the afternoon. When I was about to leave, my friend called and asked where I was going. I said I was going to the office, and asked about her plans.

She reminded me to bring an umbrella, saying it would be inconvenient if it rained. I thanked her and said I almost forgot. Not only would I bring an umbrella, but also a raincoat.

She added, “Don’t just bring an umbrella; wear rain boots too. If it rains heavily, the umbrella might not be enough.” I laughed and said I would remember. If the weather really was bad, we could eat at the office.

In the afternoon, it did rain. I wore rain boots and brought both an umbrella and a raincoat. My friend called and said I was smart, and I wouldn’t be afraid of the rain. I said, “Yes, don’t forget your umbrella, and don’t forget to wear rain boots.”
