今天晚上我想在家写作业，可是电脑怎么也打不开。我按了好几次开机键，屏幕还是黑的。我有点儿着急，因为明天早上就要交了。

我先把电脑的线检查了一下，又换了一个插座，可是还是不行。我想：是不是电没了？我找了找充电器，把电脑充了十分钟，结果还是打不开。

没办法，我只好给同学发消息：“不好意思，你现在方便吗？能不能帮我看看电脑怎么回事？” 同学说他可以视频教我，让我先按住那个小按钮，再重新开机。

我照着他说的做，电脑一下子就开了。我终于放心了，马上把作业写完。我对同学说：“你帮了我一个大忙，谢谢！下次你需要帮忙也可以找我。”

My Computer Won’t Turn On

Tonight I wanted to do homework at home, but my computer just wouldn’t turn on. I pressed the power button many times, but the screen was still black. I felt anxious because I had to hand it in tomorrow morning.

I checked the cables and even switched to another outlet, but it still didn’t work. I charged it for ten minutes, but it still wouldn’t turn on. With no choice, I messaged a classmate to ask if he could help.

He video-called and showed me what to press. As soon as I followed his steps, the computer turned on, and I finished my homework.

I thanked him and said he really helped me a lot.
