Taking the Train to Shanghai and Flying Back Home
Li Ming wants to travel to Shanghai. He decides to go there by train and fly back home.
In the morning, he comes to the train station. There are many people and it is very lively. He finds his nice ticket, goes through security, and walks to the platform.
The train comes and the doors open. He gets on, finds his seat, and puts his luggage above it. The train starts to move slowly.
The scenery outside the train keeps changing. Sometimes there are fields, and sometimes there are tall buildings. Li Ming listens to music and also chats with the person next to him, feeling relaxed all the way.
After a few hours, the train arrives at Shanghai Railway Station. He walks out of the station and feels that Shanghai is big and modern. He takes a taxi to the hotel and arranges his room.
During the few days in Shanghai, Li Ming visits museums, walks by the Huangpu River, and enjoys the lights in the evening. He thinks Shanghai’s night view is really wonderful.
On the last day, he needs to return home. This time, he goes to the airport and gets ready to board the plane. The airport is also busy, with many travelers.
At the boarding gate, he waits to get on the plane. Soon, the plane takes off and stays above the clouds. Looking down from the window, the city becomes very small.
Li Ming likes trains more, because trains are comfortable and he can clearly see nature outside. But planes save time and are very fast.
He feels that flying over a city is like “looking quickly at the flowers from a running horse”, and taking the train is like “slowly tasting” the journey. Both are very good experiences.
After coming home, Li Ming sends photos to his friends and shares this special trip. He has already planned to take the train to other cities next time.
